A former WCW veteran disclosed the heat in his relationship with the WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross. The veteran admitted how he had been mad at JR for years.
The former champion in question is Buff Bagwell. The 54-year-old veteran is known for his time in WCW in the 1990s, where he became the tag team champion multiple times. He also had a brief run in the WWE in 2001.
Meanwhile, Buff Bagwell opened up on his bittersweet relationship with the WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross. Speaking on his YouTube channel recently, Bagwell revealed that he had been mad at JR for years, but he always rooted for him.
“First of all, let me say I love Jim Ross. I was very mad at him for years, but it is what it is. I personally love Jim Ross. Even if he had to be the one to call me and tell me the news or whatever, it’s very minor what I was mad at Jim over, but regardless, over the years, he was such a great announcer, such a great friend of mine. Jim really rooted for me and was always in my corner at WCW. It is weird we kind of had that heat."

Bagwell further explained what went down between him and JR.
"He just happened to be in the spot of the guy I was talking to when I was fired. The verbiage he used, regardless of what it was, was a little misleading, but he may have done that because he had to. I don’t know the circumstances. It was a confusing time for everybody. The WWF just bought the WCW. The unheard of happened. I was the first guy to sign, and they say the first ones get the bloodiest, and I got bloody.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
Jim Ross' last AEW appearance
JR has been with AEW as a commentator since the inception of the company. However, he has not been a regular on the commentary table lately, as he only shows up on important shows and pay-per-views. After All In, All Out, and Grand Slam 2024, Ross was last seen with the commentary team at WrestleDream 2024.
Moreover, only time will tell when fans will see JR doing commentary next in AEW.
