A top AEW star has expressed her desire to face Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, once again after their encounter this week. The star being discussed is Queen Aminata. She is a former GCW Women's Champion.
The Guinean star has risen to the top of the Jacksonville-based promotion's women's division. She was on a losing streak when she started with AEW. She also wrestled in Ring of Honor (ROH), where she had picked up some victories. Tony Khan signed the star after she picked up the victory against Anna Jay in February 2024.
Since then, Aminata has established herself as a credible star and is involved in major storylines. She was involved in a backstage argument with Mone at the WrestleDream 2024 Pay-Per-View. The duo then wrestled on a recent episode of Dynamite with the TBS Championship on the line. The contest turned out to be exciting as both the stars did not hold back their offense. In the end, the champion retained her title.

Following the loss, Queen Aminata took to X/Twitter and stated that she watched Mercedes Mone for a long time and idolized her. She also talked about The CEO's heel actions and expressed to square off with her once again.
"I remember watching this woman wrestle on TV not even knowing back then that I wanted to be a wrestler. I fell in love with her style and resilience in the ring. I also really enjoyed her old entrance music. AEW star Mercedes Mone seemingly takes a shot at Charlotte Flair
Mercedes Mone defeated Emi Sakura on Dynamite: Title Tuesday when both her championships were on the line. Emi is often referred to as 'Queen' just like WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair.
Ahead of their match, Mone claimed that she had defeated 'Queen' before, taking a subtle dig at Charlotte Flair:
"And you know, this isn't the first time I've dethroned a Queen before. And it certainly won't be the last, because money changes everything."
It will be interesting to see who will be the next opponent of the reigning TBS Champion.
