Jon Moxley has been set up as the top villain in All Elite Wrestling after his shocking win over Bryan Danielson at the WrestleDream pay-per-view this past Saturday. The Purveyor of Violence scored his record fourth AEW World Championship win, and he's already got a target on his back.
Lance Archer has faced Moxley several times over the last few years. While Mox successfully defended the AEW World Championship against The Murderhawk Monster in October 2020, Archer got his revenge by defeating the 38-year-old for the IWGP United States Heavyweight title in a brutal Texas Death Match a year later.
Jon Moxley has retooled The Blackpool Combat Club, and he's now looking to rebuild AEW in his image. With Bryan Danielson dismantled and ostensibly retired from full-time competition, many fans wonder who can stand up to Mox and his gang.
Lance Archer is up for the challenge. The Murderhawk Monster took to X today to indicate that he'd like to run back their World Championship match from 2020:

Sam Roberts believes Darby Allin could be the one to take Jon Moxley down
Jon Moxley has been careful, methodical, and brutal in his climb back to the top of All Elite Wrestling. After betraying Bryan Danielson and bolstering the ranks of The Blackpool Combat Club with the additions of PAC and Marina Shafir, The Purveyor of Violence set his sights on the AEW World Championship.
Mox defeated Darby Allin to usurp his shot at Danielson's title, then promised to end The American Dragon's career. At WrestleDream 2024, he did just that, and Darby watched helplessly as the BCC destroyed the legendary star right in front of him.
Darby Allin is now a man with nothing left to lose, and wrestling analyst Sam Roberts believes he could be the one to end Moxley's reign of terror. Speaking on a recent edition of the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts mused over the prospect of Allin becoming the company's biggest hero:
"For me, I'm not averse to doing things to get major, major heat from the audience. Jon Moxley has solidified himself as the biggest heel in the company (...) the question is, can you pay it off? Will it eventually be worthwhile? Is this all to build to Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley, so you can make Darby the biggest hero imaginable? Because Moxley has become such a villain (...) if that's the goal, I understand it. Is it worth it? I don't know. That's for other people to decide, I suppose," Roberts said.
Darby and Mox have met several times in singles competitions, but the face-painted star has never been able to defeat The Purveyor of Violence. With Moxley now establishing himself as one of the biggest villains in AEW history, it remains to be seen if Allin can turn the tables.
