During a recent meet and greet session, AEW star MJF took a photo with a fan while holding a replica of the WWE Universal Championship. The Salt of the Earth later threw the title on the floor, which caught the attention of many in the pro wrestling world.

On the Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard podcast, JBL opened up about MJF's actions. The Wrestling God said he had no issues with the former world champion seemingly disrespecting the WWE title while in character. He slammed the fans who were against the AEW star's move.

"I saw it. I was sitting right beside him when he did it. I have absolutely zero issues with it and these snowflakes that wanna b*tch about that, grow up, give me a f***ing break. I mean this is crazy to me. You guys want these guys to be heels and when they are heels, you b**ch about it and you cry. Now understand this, when you have guys come to an autograph session like this, these are your hardcore fans. They're gonna tell everybody how you interact with him."

The Hall of Famer highlighted how many fans wanted stars to keep kayfabe alive but created a problem when they did so.

"So, if you have MJF here and all of a sudden he goes, 'Oh man all of this is a show don't worry about it, great to see you, how are your kids,' he's gonna tell everybody. It's gonna hurt MJF. I got no sympathy for the fans who have a problem with this. If MJF is wrestling someone, whoever it might be, Jon Moxley or Daniel Bryan [Bryan Danielson] you wanna give them the opportunity to hate him." [1:01:50 - 1:03:58]

In a recent interaction with fans after the incident, MJF claimed that he would've been world champion in WWE had he jumped ship earlier this year. The Wolf of Wrestling inked a new deal with All Elite Wrestling after his contract expired in December 2023.

It will be interesting to see whether MJF signs with WWE after his current All Elite Wrestling contract expires.
