A former WWE Champion who recently debuted in AEW confirmed that he will end his career in the company. He has gotten off to a good start in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
After weeks of speculation, Bobby Lashley finally debuted on the October 30, episode of Dynamite and aligned himself with MVP and Shelton Benjamin. He triumphantly made his in-ring return with a win over Swerve Strickland.
The All Mighty is already off to a good start in Tony Khan's promotion which is a huge step up considering the final few months of his WWE run. This was also a reason for him to jump ship.

During a recent interview with Sports Guys Talking Wrestling, Bobby Lashley said that he wanted to end his career the right way in AEW. He was unhappy that he was injured and couldn't compete in the ring when his contract with WWE expired and that was not how he wanted to end his career.

Bobby Lashley said Adam Copeland influenced his decision to join AEW
Before Bobby Lashley, Adam Copeland shocked the world by debuting in AEW. He has since been having the time of his life. Copeland has competed against several young stars and even won the TNT Championship. The Rated R Superstar has been booked strongly since arriving in the company. Hence, The All Mighty spoke to Copeland before joining Tony Khan's promotion.
During the same podcast episode, Lashley revealed that he spoke to Adam Copeland, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin. But it was his conversation with Copeland that influenced his decision to join All Elite Wrestling.
"I spoke to Edge, also, I spoke to MVP, of course, and Shelton kinda talked about it," Lashley recalled. "When I talked to Edge, Edge really, really made some good points and he just told me how much he loved it over there and that was a big thing for me." [H/T WrestlingInc.]
