Like most wrestlers, AEW star Bryan Danielson has suffered from injuries throughout his career. The legendary wrestler initially retired from in-ring competition in February 2016 due to medical reasons. However, The American Dragon returned to in-ring duties at WrestleMania 34 after getting medically cleared.

The former WWE Champion is scheduled to lock horns with AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland at the upcoming All In pay-per-view. Interestingly, this bout is a Title vs. Career match. In a recent episode of Dynamite, Danielson announced that if he failed to win the title at the upcoming Wembley event, he wouldn't wrestle again.

While his statement was reportedly work, the erstwhile Daniel Bryan could call time on his professional wrestling career in real life after his showdown with Strickland at Wembley Stadium.

The 43-year-old has suffered from multiple concussions and several injuries during his decorated career, which has admittedly taken a toll on his mental and physical health. The American Dragon recently admitted during an interview with Renee Paquette that his mind and body are at loggerheads about his future as a professional wrestler. Danielson also revealed his conversations with his wife, Brie Garcia, regarding the same.

Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE

"There’s this war going on between my mind and my body of [sic] what I feel like I can do and what my body is telling [me] that I probably shouldn’t do. Even when I talk to Brie [Garcia] and the family, it’s like, ‘Well, I want to do this,’ and she’s saying, ‘But what about your neck? What about this?'" Danielson said. [H/T: Fightful]

During the interaction, Bryan also admitted that his neck wasn't great. Hence, the former WWE Superstar could be forced to draw curtains on his decorated career after All In 2024. That said, this is speculative at this point, and there is no official development about Bryan Danielson's retirement.
