It has just been reported that a former WWE Champion has just been rushed to the hospital following the AEW WrestleDream 2024 Pay-Per-View. It was also mentioned that Tony Khan went to check on him after the show. The former champion in question is Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan.

Just an hour ago, Bryan not only lost his AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley, but he also suffered a vicious attack from him and the rest of his stablemates. Danielson also suffered another heartbreak with another one of his comrades turning against him in Wheeler Yuta.

As if the punishment he got from the match was not enough, The American Dragon was choked out once more with a plastic bag and stomped into a steel chair. The medical team rushed out once it was over to stretcher him out.

During the AEW WrestleDream 2024 post-show media scrum, Tony Schiavone took over as the host as he revealed that for the first time since doing this, Tony Khan will not be around. He mentioned that the 42-year-old was on the way to the hospital with Bryan Danielson.

Not only does this mean the end of his title reign, but tonight is officially the end of Bryan Danielson's career as a full-time wrestler. It remains to be seen when his next appearance will be, as The American Dragon will work to recover from tonight in the meantime.
