A former WWE star seemingly expects to leave AEW after their contract expires. The star in question is none other than Maria Kanellis, who is also set to undergo surgery this month.

The 42-year-old star signed with AEW in 2022, and during the first few months, she managed her husband, Mike Kanellis. After Mike and Matt Taven were unveiled as members of The Undisputed Kingdom, Maria shifted her focus to managing Cole Karter and Griff Garrison in Ring of Honor.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), Maria Kanellis confirmed that she would be accepting interviews about her time in All Elite Wrestling after October 31. She also confirmed that after her surgery, she would be taking bookings by the second week of December.

"For those asking I will be accepting interviews about my time and treatment in @aew after October 31st. I will be able to start taking bookings six weeks after my surgery so starting the second week in December. [email protected]," she tweeted.

AEW star Maria Kanellis recently provided an update on her health

Maria Kanellis has been dealing with many health issues lately, and a couple of months ago, she confirmed on social media that doctors had found a mass on her adrenal gland. The veteran provided an update to fans, revealing that she would be undergoing surgery later this month but still didn't know whether she would be working for All Elite Wrestling after it.

"Update!! Don’t know if it’s cancer. Dont know if it’s genetic. Don’t know if I will be working for AEW. I have zero answers but I have this stick and it will make my kids happy," she wrote.

Maria Kanellis' contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire on October 31, and she has allegedly not been approached by the promotion for a renewal yet. We will have to wait and see whether she makes a return to WWE after possibly departing from the Jacksonville-based promotion.
