Former WWE Superstar Donovan Dijak recently took to his Twitter (X) account to post a one-word reply to former World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre's tweet, in which The Scottish Warrior referenced AEW star Colt Cabana while taking a dig at CM Punk. Dijak was a part of the Stamford-based promotion between 2017 and 2024.
The former NXT star recently parted ways with the company following the expiration of his contract after the Sports Entertainment juggernaut didn't approach him with a new deal.
Dijak is one of the most skilled in-ring performers. Furthermore, he is a different beast on Twitter (X), thanks to his witty takes. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre is embroiled in a fierce rivalry with CM Punk, and the duo is set to square off at SummerSlam 2024. In the wake of this feud, WWE recently released a new T-shirt design for The Best in The World that read ''Clobber McIntyre Punk!''
In response, the three-time WWE World Champion took to Twitter (X) and slammed The Second City Saint for his hypocrisy.
The former AEW World Champion had previously asserted that he would never put another man's name on a shirt to sell it. McIntyre mocked his SummerSlam rival and referenced Punk's, ''Hey, Colt Cabana. How you doing?'' line from The Straight Edge Superstar's infamous pipebomb promo.
“'I ain’t [sic] ever had to put another man’s name on a shirt to sell it.' Aging as well as, 'Hey, Colt Cabana, how you doing?''' he wrote.
Dijak took notice of Drew's post and replied with a one-word message.
"Jesus!'' he wrote.
Former WWE star recently revealed that several people in AEW dislike CM Punk
During a recent interaction on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Dijak claimed that several individuals in the Jacksonville-based promotion do not like CM Punk. However, the 37-year-old added that it was none of his business.
"You know, I'd actually like to keep that to myself. It's meaningful to me. It's not anything revolutionary, but it's a concept I've heard before, and when you hear it coming from him [CM Punk] and with his success in this business and with the things he has done in this business, good or bad. I was just in the AEW locker room, and there's a lot of people there that do not like him, right? That's not my business!'' he said. [H/T: CVV]
Meanwhile, CM Punk will square off against Drew McIntyre at The Biggest Party of The Summer. Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will be the Special Guest Referee for the high-profile match. It will be interesting to see how the much-awaited clash plays out in Cleveland, Ohio.
