A former WWE star has shared a post on social media, teasing their potential return to pro wrestling for the time first time in nearly a decade. The 45-year-old has been hinting at making their in-ring comeback for a while.

The former WWE star in question is Gabbi Tuft. She wrestled for the Stamford-based promotion from 2009 to 2012 under the Tyler Reks moniker. Tuft retired from in-ring competition after competing in a tag team match on the independent circuit in October 2014. Following her pro wrestling retirement, the former champion publicly came out as a trans woman in February 2021.

In recent months, Gabbi Tuft has seemingly been thinking about a return to professional wrestling. She attended an AEW show earlier this year, fueling rumors of her comeback.

On X/Twitter, Tuft seemingly again teased her return to pro wrestling with a cryptic message. She also used the WWE and AEW hashtags.

"The light cannot exist without the darkness. Mother is coming… 10 #Mother #WWE #AEW," she tweeted.

In an interview with WrestleZone, Gabbi Tuft was asked whether she was considering a return to pro wrestling. The 45-year-old said she underwent open heart surgery in 2019 and didn't want to rush the process of her potential comeback. Tuft added that doctors were reviewing her scans to determine whether she could compete inside the squared circle again.

“[Wrestling is] definitely on the front of my mind. I’m working with Stanford University right now to get clearance. I did have open heart surgery in July 2019. So we are reviewing scans currently. Hopefully, this week, I will know if I’m 100% clear to start taking bumps again. I don’t want to give anything away too soon. I want to make sure that if and when something actually does happen that the world is watching.”

It is still unclear whether Gabbi Tuft will be cleared to wrestle again. Fans will likely love to see her back in the business in some capacity.
