A former WWE star recently showed up in AEW. The talent in question is Mason Madden. His tag team partner Mansoor, who also previously wrestled for the global juggernaut, appeared in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that MxM Collection had inked a deal with All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor. The duo debuted in ROH on the pre-show for Death Before Dishonor 2024. They faced Angelico and Serpentico in a tag team contest and grabbed a big win.
Following their bout in Ring of Honor, the tandem called out FTR. This led to Tony Khan booking the two tag teams in a match on the July 27 edition of AEW Collision, which took place in Arlington, Texas.
The former WWE stars wrestled their first AEW match on the Saturday night show. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't defeat Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.

When did WWE release Mason Madden and Mansoor?
Before joining AEW, Mansoor and Mason Madden were known for their stints in the Stamford-based promotion. Mansoor joined the Triple H-led company in 2018, while Mason became a part of the global juggernaut in 2016.
The duo was collectively known as Maximum Male Models. They also worked with LA Knight (fka Max Dupri) and Maxxine Dupri. Mason and Mansoor were released from their contracts in September 2023.
After they departed from the Stamford-based promotion, the tandem made some appearances on the independent circuit, wrestling in companies like Deadlock Pro-Wrestling (DPW) and Soft Ground Wrestling (SGW).
