A former WWE Superstar returned to AEW after being away for more than four weeks at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III. The stat being discussed is Mistico.

The 41-year-old star wrestled as Sin Cara in WWE and was a huge attraction in the Stamford-based promotion. He worked in the company for three years and was released in 2014. After being released, he worked in promotions like CMLL, AAA, and many other companies making a huge name for themselves. He is currently with CMLL.

Mistico made his AEW debut in October 2023, picking up a victory against Rocky Romero. He then made several appearances for the promotion. His latest match in the Jacksonville-based promotion happened in May when he participated in the Casino Gauntlet bout. He was recently attacked by Chris Jericho in CMLL's Arena Mexico.

At Forbidden Door III, Mistico teamed up with Lucha Bros to take on Los Ingobernables de Japon (Yota Tsuji, Titan, and Hiromu Takahashi). This highly athletic match was a treat to the eyes. Mistico picked up the victory for the team as he made Titan submit.

It will be interesting to see what is next for the masked star in Tony Khan-led promotion. Also, the latter is set to face Chris Jericho in Arena Mexico in coming weeks.
