A former WWE star recently made history, but it was not easy, and she has now revealed how she suffered a panic attack in the process. This is something that might shock some of the fans.

The AEW TBS Champion, ever since making her debut, has gone from strength to strength, with her latest showing coming in the form of a win over Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty. Mone became a triple champion after defeating Shirakawa to capture the RevPro British Women’s Championship at the Tokyo Dome.

In the latest edition of her Mone Mag newsletter, the former WWE star revealed how she suffered a panic attack before the match.
“One of the lines Advocate Kev says to Team-Mone on our various trips is: ‘We’re gonna make history…AGAIN!’ Though I have nerves and butterflies for all my big matches, my match at the Tokyo Dome against Mina was somehow different. From the moment I landed in Japan, where I actually bawled my eyes out with both disbelief and gratitude, to the morning of the event, where I had an actual panic attack, making history was the last thing on my mind,” she wrote. Former WWE star Mercedes Mone revealed she did not want to let Mina Shirakawa down
In the same edition of The Mone Mag, Mercedes Mone revealed how, despite having a panic attack, she wanted to fight because she did not want to let down her opponent, Mina Shirakawa.
“I didn’t want to let the fans down. I didn’t want to let Mina down. I especially, and as always, didn’t want to let the women wrestlers of today AND tomorrow down. I want New Japan, and all promotions, globally, for that matter, to know that we female athletes deserve prominent recognition and a prominent place on the card.”
She was one of the women’s division trailblazers in WWE and is doing the same again in AEW. Mercedes Mone is truly one of the modern wrestling greats.
