Former WWE star Matt Morgan has sided with Cody Rhodes and slammed Tony Khan on his recent comments about All Elite Wrestling. The American Nightmare recently revealed that he didn't like The Young Bucks saying Cody was the last EVP to sign with AEW.
The Jacksonville-based promotion was created in 2019 however the idea was initially brought up by Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, Nick, and Matt Jackson during All In 2018. Meanwhile, Tony Khan seems to have taken full credit for the creation of AEW as he recently claimed that he first had the idea in April 2018.
On the recent edition of the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan claimed that Tony Khan has tried to change the narrative in his recent comments about the inception of All Elite Wrestling.
"He tries to change the narrative by saying, 'Because a lot of people always thought that's how that went but that's not really how it goes like I've been wanting to do AEW. I went to the head of TNT six months before that,' he said something like that. So he tried to change the narrative and get him in there a little bit more to the beginning of the genesis of AEW."

The former WWE star further continued:
"Now, you saw a sold-out arena in Chicago, and everybody wanted to see it; it was the hottest thing in the business that year. Everybody was flocking to want to go get a ticket or see it on pay-per-view and it was a mass mass monster success showing that everybody wanted to see another cable television company. And then you came in because you're the guy with the money. So, he's trying to act like he was before Cody [Rhodes] and the Bucks getting this set up. Get the hell outta here Tony." [9:57 - 10:47]
WWE veteran Eric Bischoff claims AEW will never hit a million views again
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff never shies away from bashing the AEW product and the veteran has yet again made a bold claim about the viewership of the television programs.
On his 83 Weeks podcast, the WWE veteran claimed that All Elite Wrestling might never reach a million views again. However, praised the company for taking risks to surprise the audience.
"They may not ever see a million viewers again. But in this context, it doesn't really matter what the ratings are. The fact is they tried something very different. It may have bombed. It may have been a horrible idea or it may have been a really really great out of the box let's surprise the audience with something that's different than what they typically do." (0:59 to 1:35)
AEW has gotten a million views in 2021 and 2022 but has been on a major decline in the past year. It will be intriguing to see if the promotion makes some changes soon.
