Bryan Danielson lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024. He hasn't been seen on AEW TV since the loss. However, he was recently spotted sporting a new look.
Earlier this year, The American Dragon declared that he would retire from full-time wrestling once he dropped the World Title. Therefore, he retired at the WrestleDream pay-per-view after losing the championship to Moxley. Following his defeat, Bryan Danielson was ambushed by The Death Riders (formerly called Blackpool Combat Club).
Weeks after the beatdown, Brie Garcia (fka Brie Bella) shared a picture of Danielson on her Instagram Story. In the photo, the former WWE star was seen with a shaved head and shorter beard. On X/Twitter, fans were quick to react to The American Dragon's new look.
Some fans speculated that he would return soon to take revenge on The Purveyor of Violence and his teammates.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
"He is coming back to take out Mox," a user commented.
"Holy this man is coming for Moxley. This is about to be a WAR 😳😳," a tweet read.
Some X/Twitter users believed that Danielson was planning to return to WWE.
"Probably thinking about how the crowd will react when he appears at the Royal Rumble," a fan tweeted.
"Getting ready for his WWE run. It's not like AEW where no one watches, he will need to be in tip-top shape for WWE's fans," a person wrote.
Amid Danielson's absence, Moxley and The Death Riders have been wreaking havoc in All Elite Wrestling. The Purveyor of Violence will Orange Cassidy with the World Title on the line at Full Gear 2024.
Bryan Danielson reportedly hopes to avoid surgery
Bryan Danielson has been dealing with a bad neck for years now. All the hard bumps he took during matches have gradually taken a toll on his body. The American Dragon's match with Kazuchika Okada seemingly aggravated his neck issues, which resulted in the loss of strength in his body.
Danielson was scheduled to go under the knife to treat his injury. However, a recent report from Fightful Select noted that he hoped to avoid it. It was also reported that he had planned to opt for stem cell treatment to heal his neck instead.
