Grayson Waller may have just fired some shots at AEW during an interview.
Waller has become one of the fastest-rising superstars on WWE SmackDown. Ever since his NXT days, he's been known for his fiery promo skills. His ability on the mic helped him get over with the fans, and he was finally able to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40.
WWE SmackDown is set to take place in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 17, and Waller is advertised for the show. When speaking about Jacksonville during an interview with Going Ringside, Waller seemingly took a shot at AEW by saying that it's been years since there had been any good wrestling in the city:
"Finally, some good wrestling in Jacksonville. I feel like it's been years since we've seen some really good wrestling in Jacksonville. That's what we're bringing back. Somehow, $20 for a ticket. I don't know how I feel about $20 to see the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Right now, I feel we have the best roster in WWE history. Hands down, from the bottom to the top. The SmackDown roster is on fire. Things do feel like a new era. Cody said Renaissance Era, I think that's the perfect name for it," said Waller.
Jacksonville is considered the home base of AEW and Tony Khan, and most of the young company's pandemic-era shows were hosted at Daily's Place, which is attached to Everbank Stadium, where the Jacksonville Jaguars play. Grayson Waller also took a shot at the Jags in his interview:
"The SmackDown roster fully exudes that. If you want to see a show, anyone who was at WrestleMania, Raw, SmackDown, NXT, live wrestling, there is nothing else like it. Now, we're coming to Jacksonville. It's not like you can support the Jaguars, that team sucks. Trevor Lawrence, he's horrendous. Pretty much any sports team in Jacksonville sucks. Maybe you want to come see a real champion because you won't be seeing one anytime soon." [H/T Fightful]
Grayson Waller mocked Triple H's decision to unveil new titles on RAW
This past Monday on RAW, Triple H called Awesome Truth to the ring and presented them with the new Tag Team Titles. The WWE CCO told them that they would be called World Tag Team Champions from now on.
Following this, Grayson Waller took to social media to mock Triple H's announcement:
"This really is awesome! Truth and Miz getting rewarded for finishing second in the ladder match at Mania," he wrote.

It will be interesting to see if Austin Theory and Grayson Waller will also receive new tag team titles on SmackDown.
