Earlier today, news broke that a big name in WWE would be departing the company after 12 years. Fans reacted to this and many believe that he could make an appearance in AEW soon. This would be Baron Corbin.

It was reported by Fightful Select that three names were set to leave WWE, Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox. Both Hartwell and Nox were released from the company, meaning they are subject to a 90-day no-compete clause set by the company.

They also reported that in Baron Corbin's case, his contract was not renewed by WWE, and it will expire at the end of the clause. Due to this, he will not be reportedly bound by the same no-compete clause and once he becomes a free agent, he is free to compete elsewhere. While the Triple H led-creative seemingly did not have much to offer Corbin, the fans seem positive the star could find success in AEW.

Several fans felt that he could be headed to AEW next. Seeing as how stars like Bobby Lashley and Ricochet, whose contracts too were not renewed by WWE, eventually jumped ship, the same could be said for Corbin. One fan even claimed that Tony Khan would welcome him with open arms.

"He'll show up in @AEW soon #AEW," a fan claimed.
"Baron Corbin is AEW," another mentioned.
"He will be welcome in Tony Khan AEW company with open arms," said another.

Other fans wanted him to bring back his Lone Wolf persona should he sign with the company. Another fan brought up how Corbin and MJF were close friends, and both of them could discuss working with one another in the future.

"Seriously, he should consider getting a hair transplant and then revive the lone wolf gimmick in AEW," a fan suggested.
"Ok so MJF and Corbin are really good friends. I think they might do something together," another claimed.
"Baron Corbin redemption arc in AEW," said another.

While most of the fans seem to be interested in seeing Corbin joint AEW, the star hasn't made any indication toward the same. It will be interesting what he has to say in the future about his next step.

The former WWE Superstar recently complimented MJF's new AEW persona

Following his return to AEW in May during Double or Nothing, MJF brought out a new persona of his, as he revealed that he wished to now be known as the Wolf of Wrestling.

While promoting his new shirt at the time, the promotion made a minor error and called him "The Lone Wolf." He corrected them, saying that this nickname belonged to Baron Corbin. The former WWE United States Champion replied and complimented the shirt's design.

"That shirt is money!" Corbin wrote.

Friedman also took the time to reply to him and acknowledge his compliment.

"Thanks, B dog!" MJF replied.

Only time will tell whether these two will cross paths, or even work for the same company. With Corbin hitting free agency soon, several promotions will surely show an interest in him.
