Fans have been worried about an AEW star after medics were seen checking on him after receiving a brutal move earlier tonight. The star being discussed is Bryan Danielson.

Danielson, fka Daniel Bryan, is a former WWE Superstar who was among the top wrestlers in the company. He was forced to retire from the company due to medical reasons in 2016. However, he returned to the promotion and wrestled again in 2018. He later joined AEW in 2021.

At AEW Dynasty, The American Dragon fought Will Ospreay in arguably one of the best matches of the night. The duo stole the show with great storytelling and high-caliber wrestling. This brilliant match ended after Will hit Bryan with Storm Driver 91.

After the match, The American Dragon was seen troubled after being on the receiving end of such a brutal move. Doctors and medics surrounded him as he struggled to get up. Even his opponent, Will Ospreay, seemed concerned for him.

Fans seemed very concerned for Bryan Danielson as he has had to retire due to medical issues previously while in WWE. Many suggested he retire from the squared circle permanently. Also, some fans pointed out that his being injury-prone may be one of the reasons WWE got rid of him. While many fans felt WWE and Triple H were being over-protective of Bryan during his time in WWE, especially towards the end, it now seems to have possibly been the best course of action, seeing as his injuries in the ring may lead to lasting and permanent damage to the star.

AEW star Will Ospreay says he will retire the move that seemingly injured Bryan Danielson

Speaking on the post-show AEW Dynasty media scrum, a visibly upset Ospreay stated that he will not use the Tiger Driver 91 as Bryan possibly got injured during it.

"It seemed Bryan got hurt on the 'Storm driver,' and I didn't see the doctor call, referee called for doctor and I didn't see it. So I wanna apologize on that. [...] Honestly, I feel awful about this, even though 90 percent of the times that move's been absolutely fine, seeing the damage that it's kinda done, I'm gonna retire using the 'Storm driver 91.' I don't think it's polite for me to continue using it after seeing what it did to Bryan, someone that I got huge amounts of respect for." he said.

It will be interesting to see if Will Ospreay will use this move going forward and how this affects The Aerial Assassin in future matches.
