A former AEW Women's Champion has won tonight on AEW Collision, with the return of a certain match type with a unique stipulation. This would be Thunder Rosa winning a Texas Bull Rope Match.
Rosa faced off against Deonna Purrazzo. This match was the fifth installment of the bitter rivalry between the two stars, with The Virtuosa leading their head-to-head score 3-1 heading into tonight. This was the most unique match type, as both women have gone to war previously in a no disqualification and lumberjack match.
Tonight's Texas Bull Rope Match was the first in the promotion's history. The last match of this nature was back in 2021, as Dustin Rhodes faced off against Nick Comoroto during an episode of AEW Dynamite.

It was poetic that a video package with Dustin Rhodes introducing the match was played before the match began, seeing as his father Dusty was associated with this type of match.
It was a well-matched affair, to say the least, with both women even being busted open in their hopes of dishing out as much punishment as they could. This all ended after Thunder Rosa put away Deonna Purrazzo with a Bulldog through the table, finally earning her a win against her rival.
With Rosa's win, this could finally be the end to this month's long feud between the two.
