Adam Cole is set to make his in-ring return. However, a House of Black member believes he is "fragile." Buddy Matthews is the latest to comment on Cole's return. The latter has been out of action for the past year due to a foot injury. Even after he turned on MJF at World's End last year, Cole was still not cleared to compete.
He made quite a few appearances earlier this year in a wheelchair until he was taken out by a returning MJF at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. Since then, Cole was not seen on TV until he made his return at WrestleDream 2024. This time, he was fully healed and chased Maxwell away from the ring.
Now, The Panama Playboy is set to compete next week on Dynamite against Buddy Matthews. Buddy took to social media to call him "fragile" due to his recent injury:
"I have nothing but respect for @AdamColePro- but let’s face it, he’s not the Adam Cole of Old. This New Adam Cole is “Fragile” - I want him to prove me wrong! Sadly I don’t think he can."

MJF lays down an interesting challenge for Adam Cole at Full Gear
MJF has been feuding with Adam Cole for a long time now. Cole is eager to get his hands on The Salt of The Earth but so is his stablemate Roderick Strong.
Tonight on AEW Dynamite, both Cole and Strong expressed their desire to get in the ring with Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Strong even wanted to face Maxwell before Cole.
Being the smart man that he is, MJF came up with a plan. He said that he had no plans of competing until Full Gear. He also informed them that they could earn the right to face him. Maxwell then came up with an interesting challenge. He told them that the first person to get three singles wins could face him at Full Gear.
This idea is why Maxwell Jacob Friedman was the longest-reigning AEW World Champion in history.
