A WWE Hall of Famer has pointed out a huge flaw in Jon Moxley’s AEW booking. He also addressed complaints of WWE guys taking over Tony Khan’s promotion.
Moxley defied all the odds at Worlds End and defeated Hangman Adam Page, Jay White, and Orange Cassidy to retain his AEW World Championship, albeit with help from the Death Riders. After the match, he and his faction were confronted by the returning Adam Copeland and FTR, which was a great ending to the show.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has, however, pointed out a major flaw in Moxley’s booking and laid out his explanation on the latest episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast. He said
"Jon Moxley is not a heel. I've said this over, and over, and over again, if anything Jon Moxley is a babyface and should be a saviour for AEW. Should he be the saviour? Absolutely not. The saviour of AEW should be a homegrown AEW guy, just like at the end of the day, who would have been the saviour of ECW? Tommy Dreamer. He would have had the help of Terry Funk, but at the end of the day, Tommy Dreamer would have been the saviour.” [H/T Wrestling Inc]
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Bully Ray calls out former WWE star Adam Copeland for confronting Jon Moxley
In the same podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer pointed out how, toward the end of the show at World End, another former WWE star, Adam Copeland, showed up to save the day against Jon Moxley.
“What I saw the other night was a former WWE guy trying to take over AEW with his faction called The Death Riders... and then who came to the aid? Well, it was another former WWE guy, with some other WWE guys to save the day," Ray said. [H/T Wrestling Inc]
What Bully Ray is pointing out is somewhat true, and Tony Khan might take notice. It will be interesting to see how he books his shows in the new year.
