AEW is set to negotiate its new deal with Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD). New details have come to light regarding the relationship between both parties.

Ever since All Elite Wrestling launched in 2019, the company has tried its best to make a huge splash in the industry by hiring some of the best talent in the world and putting on world-class shows. From the start, the Jacksonville-based company had partnered with WBD to bring their action on TNT and TBS.

Despite Tony Khan's best efforts to bring a great wrestling product to the masses, the show's viewership has only dwindled since its launch and they are struggling to fill arenas. This left many critics to speculate that the massive drop in viewership could only impact the company's upcoming negations with WBD.

In a desperate bid to improve ratings and viewership, the company brought in Will Ospreay and then Mercedes Mone and it looks like the move may be working. PWInsider is now reporting that WBD is "very happy" with the increase in Dynamite's audience demo and ratings in recent weeks.

Tony Khan previously commented on AEW's relationship with WBD

Given the former's dwindling viewership, many people were left wondering what the relationship between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery was like.

Tony Khan himself has previously addressed the relationship between both parties. Speaking on the ROH Final Battle media scrum, Khan spoke positively about All Elite Wrestling's continuing partnership with WBD.

"Ring of Honor, we haven't had recently as many [talks with WBD] But we've had really good conversations about AEW. Even in recent days, I've had really good talks with Warner Brothers Discovery. We've been with them for several years. It's a really exciting time for AEW. With media rights and all the things coming up, everyone has to do their due diligence. It's just part of the TV business," stated Tony Khan. [H/T: WrestlingInc]

It remains to be seen if WBD will offer Tony Khan and AEW a good enough deal and continue their partnership well into the future.
