A popular AEW star provided a major update on her return to action amid absence for months due to an injury. The star got injured during her match on TV a few months ago.
The AEW star in question is the popular female star Skye Blue. The 25-year-old star has been a part of Tony Khan's promotion since 2021 and has constantly improved herself in the ring and in terms of character. On an episode of Collision in July earlier this year, Blue unfortunately suffered an ankle injury during her match against Hikaru Shida.
Meanwhile, Skye Blue finally provided a positive update on her return over four months after her absence. Speaking at the Chicago Wolves game, Skye admitted it's hard to see her partner, Kyle Fletcher go to work while she sits at home. Blue also stated that she wants to be 100% before she returns.
“We’re getting there. We’re getting there. It’s hard sitting at home and watching [Kyle Fletcher] go to work and being like, ‘I feel fine, I can walk. I can wrestle, right?’ Then I’m like, ‘Oh, no, I can’t.’ But we’re getting there. I just want to come back fully healthy so I can go crazy and do all my hardcore matches and be 100%." [H/T Fightful]
Skye Blue's partner is in the AEW Continental Classic
Skye Blue's boyfriend and rising AEW star Kyle Fletcher has been impressing fans with his character and in-ring work ever since becoming a singles wrestler. The Protostar is also in the ongoing Continental Classic tournament this year as a part of the Blue League.
Fletcher also won his first match in the Blue League by defeating The Beast Mortos. Kyle is set for a big match against Shelton Benjamin this week on Dynamite.
It remains to be seen how Kyle Fletcher fairs in the Continental Classic 2024 and when his girlfriend, Skye Blue makes her TV return.
