Fans reacted after WWE reportedly showed interest in bringing two major AEW stars to the company. Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, known as The Lucha Bros., are the stars being discussed.

The Lucha Bros. is one of the few tag teams that signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2019. Penta and Fenix have wrestled many great matches in the company throughout its history. Not only as a team, as both men have delivered top-notch matches as singles stars.

A few months ago, Penta confirmed that his contract would expire between August and September. A report suggested he is open to exiting AEW and exploring other options, while the global sports entertainment juggernaut has shown a desire to sign him. He hasn't been involved in any major angles as of now.

A recent report disclosed that the contract for Rey Fenix, who joined AEW along with Penta, is also set to expire this year. It was also reported that WWE has shown interest in signing both Rey and Penta. All Elite Wrestling has extended offers to both stars as the company wants to retain them.

Many fans want Triple H to grab Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix while the opportunity exists. Several also joked that they would join the LWO if they were signed by the company.

AEW's Penta El Zero Miedo discussed the possibility of joining WWE

A few months ago, rumors about WWE being interested in signing the 39-year-old Penta El Zero Miedo surfaced.

While speaking with Lalo Elizarraras, Penta revealed that WWE never contacted him or his agent regarding any future deal. He also stated that he is happy in the Jacksonville-based promotion right now.

“It was only a rumor, never a request to me or my agent. (...) [WWE] would be a good episode in my career but I do not like to fantasy book. If it happens, it happens. I am focused on AEW and I am happy where I am at right now," he said.

Only time will tell if the Lucha Bros. sign with the global sports entertainment juggernaut after their existing contracts expire.
