A former WWE Superstar has just made a surprising appearance on AEW Dynamite tonight. He also addressed his immediate future and has hinted at making future appearances in the coming shows by the promotion. This would be Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder).

Cardona made an appearance last week post-Dynamite when he confronted Chris Jericho and expressed his intentions of taking the ROH World Championship at Final Battle almost a week from today.

Tonight on Dynamite, he made a brief appearance and talked about returning to AEW. He claimed that he belonged in the promotion, and was always ready for action.

"It is great to be back on AEW, I belong here. And everybody was shocked when I showed up, but you know who wasn't shocked? Me. I've been saying it for years, I am always ready, it even says so on the t-shirt." [0:21-0:34]

So far in his feud with Chris Jericho, he has found himself falling victim to the numbers advantage of the Learning Tree. Hence, he dropped a challenge, wanting to face Bryan Keith this week on Rampage.

This will be the former WWE Intercontinental Champion's first match in the promotion since March when he appeared during Adam Copeland's open challenge for the TBS Championship.
