Mercedes Mone talked about whether she was likely to date anyone from WWE. The former Sasha Banks filed for divorce last week.

The CEO has been a great reigning TBS Champion for over two months now. Debuting as a babyface, she has gradually turned heel. She has also bought in Kamille as her bodyguard in the promotion. She is slated to face Britt Baker at All In, in London where her TBS Championship will be on the line.

Last week, Mercedes Mone revealed that she had filed for divorce from her husband Sarath Ton. He is a retired professional wrestler and currently works as a costume designer in WWE. The duo got married in 2016, but have been separated since 2020 without taking any legal recourse as the TBS Champion didn't want to affect her WWE run.

Last week, the NJPW Strong Women's Champion opened up about her issues and revealed she was headed towards divorce. In her newsletter, Mercedes disclosed that she wasn't ready to date at the moment and emphasized not dating anyone from the rival promotion.

“My divorce hit the press this week. Like I said in a clip from my Moné Talks show, it made me feel ready to be free to start this next chapter in my life and to solely focus on ME. I can embrace MY truths now and not have to hide that part of my life. And to those asking, no, I am NOT ready to start dating yet. And I definitely cannot see myself dating anyone from a Rival Promotion!” she stated [H/T - Ringside News]

Mercedes Mone reveals why she didn't open up about her separation earlier

Mercedes and Sarath got separated in 2020. Disclosing such news could have led to much-unwanted attention and also affect her work.

While speaking on her YouTube channel, Mercedes Mone revealed she didn't tell anyone about the separation because she didn't want Vince McMahon to change things ahead of WrestleMania, which she wanted to main event. She also noted that she was in a storyline with Bianca Belair at the time.

"We got separated at the end of December of 2020. He finally moved out in January of 2021. I was shooting The Mandalorian, plus trying everything in my power to be the main event of WrestleMania. So of course I don’t want all of this stuff to get out because you don’t know what Vince [McMahon] is gonna do [and] you don’t know what he’s gonna change because Vince was very — um, I was in a storyline with Bianca." she said.

It will be interesting to see if Mercedes Mone retains the TBS Championship at All In London against The Doctor.
