AEW has created many stars over the years. However, the Tony Khan-led company has also booked some talents poorly, and this has resulted in backlash from wrestling fans. One of them is Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), as fans on social media believe that even WWE, which is creatively led by Triple H, will have no interest in signing the 28-year-old due to the decrease in his credibility.

The Salt of The Earth gained fame in AEW in 2019 due to his incredible heel work. He kept up the momentum for the next several years, sparking speculations about MJF possibly leaving Tony Khan's promotion to ink a deal with WWE. The American Hero also teased joining the Stamford-based promotion several times. However, it was confirmed that he chose to stay with All Elite Wrestling.

Many fans have pointed out how MJF is not the same star he used to be due to his poor booking in recent times. On X (FKA Twitter), a fan claimed that Friedman's downfall ''is crazy!''

Several fans reacted to the post and left some interesting comments. They stated that MJF should have signed with WWE when the time was right.

''Should've signed with the fed!'' a fan wrote.

Some other fans also agreed with the above comments, claiming that The Wolf of Wrestling could have been Intercontinental Champion under The Game's creative leadership had he signed with WWE.

"Should’ve went to WWE; with his talent I don’t think booking would’ve done him any wrong. I hate that narrative," a fan stated.
"The guy has talent; no question about it. But yes, he fell of hard already," another fan stated.

MJF spoke about staying with AEW instead of signing with WWE

After a nearly five-month hiatus, MJF returned to AEW at the Double or Nothing PPV last year and revealed that he had re-signed with the company. This also ended the speculations about Friedman potentially joining WWE. During an interview with Fox 5 last year, The American Hero spoke about choosing Tony Khan's promotion over the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.

The Salt of The Earth said it was ''a very easy decision,'' as Khan pays him well. The former AEW World Champion further promoted the company and claimed it's where the best professional wrestlers exist.

"Look, it was a very easy decision for me, mainly because Tony Khan is paying me an exorbitant amount of money. But outside of that, I also, I believe in AEW; I believe that is where the best wrestle; I believe that we have some of the most top-tier elite talent you get to see in the world today," he said. We will have to wait and see if MJF decides to sign with WWE and shake the wrestling world in the future.
