Eric Bischoff believed that Tony Khan was not fit to be the head booker of AEW as he only targeted one aspect. Therefore, he should be replaced by Bully Ray, who has the potential to see the bigger picture and lure in more audiences. But a recent booking by Khan received a lot of appreciation from Eazy E, which is indeed a rare scenario.
Big Boom AJ returned to wrestling 19 years later and made his All Elite Wrestling debut at the Full Gear 2024 Zero Hour pre-show, defeating QT Marshall in a singles match. His son Big Justice and their friend The Rizzler accompanied him. The battle received a good reception from the fans, and many veterans praised AEW and Tony Khan for trying something unique.
Speaking on the recent edition of the '83 Weeks' podcast, Eric Bischoff said that Khan made a good decision by booking the match and hopes that the AEW President continues to book such entertainment-based bouts in the future.
"It's probably the best thing they've got going or have had going in quite some time in just in terms of energy and the virality of it, how much it's spreading around. It's interesting, and I didn't watch the match, so I'm not going to comment on it, but I heard from just about everybody that the match was highly, highly entertaining and over-delivered, which is awesome, and shout-out to everybody involved... I hope they continue to do it. I hope they find more ways of being more entertaining." [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
