Ronda Rousey abruptly left WWE in August 2023 and then announced her retirement in October. However, the UFC Hall of Famer then shocked the wrestling world by returning to the ring for Sami Callihan and Tony Khan. One of Rousey's final opponents is now opening up on their match and Rousey's future.
The Baddest Woman on The Planet returned to the ring for Lucha VaVoom just days after retiring, teaming with Marina Shafir for a five-minute win over Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick, who helped train Rousey. Three weeks later, the Horsewomen wrestled Athena and Billie Starkz to a 14-minute No Contest for Sami's The Wrestling Revolver. Ronda and Marina teamed up the next night for Khan at the ROH tapings, securing a 16-minute rematch win over Starkz and the longest-reigning ROH Women's Champion in history.
Rousey has not wrestled since her Ring of Honor debut, but she did go viral earlier this year for speaking out against WWE while promoting her memoir. However, Starkz recently appeared on The Wrestling Classic and opened up on how it was working with WWE's eighth Women's Triple Crown Champion.
"It was a very out of the blue experience and it was crazy how it unfolded, and I was happy to do the match. It was crazy to me that we got to wrestle twice in the same week, but being able to say that I had her last match, for I think a while. ... I don't know when she's coming back so I can say I was the last one we know of. ... Everybody can't get over me dumping her on the head and I was like, 'It's just a German [suplex], I do it to everybody, I promise,'" Billie Starkz said. [H/T to WrestlingInc]
