A top star has sent a warning to a House of Black member ahead of Dynamite this week. The star being discussed is Gabe Kidd and he wrote a bold message to Brody King. Gabe has been a top rising star in NJPW and holds the Strong Openweight Champion.
The 37-year-old star is the only two of the House of Black members currently active alongside Malakai Black. While Julia Hart has been out with an injury since April, Buddy Matthews was written off TV, after an off screen attack by Patriarchy, due to personal reasons.
Brody and Malakai recently picked up a victory against three other tag teams at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door's Zero Hour. The House of Black defeated Private Party, Kyle O'Reilly and, Tomohiro Ishii and Roderick Strong and Gabe Kidd. This was an entertaining match where each team showcased their skills. The 37-year-old star had multiple clashes with Gabe during the bout.
Recently, Brody teased a match between him and the NJPW star. The current Strong Openweight Champion seemingly accepted his challenge and threatened to erase his tattoos off his chest with a chop.
"Shut up and get out my mentions, you bellend, before I chop all those tats off ya chest!! I'll slap you any day of the week!!" he wrote.
Tony Khan provides update on House of Black's Brody King after injury scare
During their four-way match at Forbidden Door, Tomohiro Ishii performed a brainbuster on Brody. Unfortunately, he wasn't lifted properly during the move and landed abruptly on the head. Despite an injury scare, he completed the match.
While speaking on the post-media scrum of the event, Tony Khan revealed that the 37-year-old star is not injured and is cleared to wrestle.
"Brody King will be okay, he’s okay. That was a scary move and he is okay, he will be able to continue wrestling and everything’s okay there."
It remains to be seen when Malakai Black and his partner go after The Patriarchy as they attacked them recently. Also, it will be interesting to see if the match gets added to the upcoming edition of Dynamite.
