A former AEW star recently opened up about Adam Copeland's injury. Adam sustained a serious leg injury during his match against Malakai Black at AEW Double or Nothing. The star here who was talking about Adam was Mark Henry, who said he felt bad for Copeland.
Mark Henry is the latest to talk about Adam Copland's injury. Some feel Copeland was in the midst of his best run since his return to professional wrestling. Within a few months of joining AEW, he captured the TNT Championship from Christian Cage after a personal feud between both men. After winning the title, Copeland relentlessly defended the title at every opportunity.
His biggest title defense was against Malakai Black at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. During the match, Copeland went for a dive off the steel cage and landed awkwardly, injuring himself. Although he won the match, Copeland was stripped of his TNT Championship subsequently.
During a recent exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, Mark Henry spoke about Copeland's injury, saying he felt bad for him.
"I think he said it best the day after. 'I don't know what I was thinking, my mind still says 100 miles an hour but my body says keep it under 55.' I love that dude. I feel bad for him." [4:48 - 5:17]
Finn Balor on his relationship with Adam Copeland
Finn Balor and Adam Copeland are no strangers to each other. Copeland added Balor to his Judgment Day stable only to be betrayed by his stablemates soon after. Following this, Balor and Copeland engaged in a heated and long rivalry that lasted several months.
During a recent interview with WTSpod, Balor mentioned that he and The Rated R Superstar had been trying to work together for some time but he never thought they would get to work together for as long as they did.
"I always admired Edge, like obviously as a fan when I was a kid... Like I didn't really appreciate him at the time, like how good he was, and then when him and Christian kind of retired, I came to WWE, so we just kind of missed each other. The relationship with me and Edge, like it's been going on for a long time of trying to get things together before we actually did work, and then when we did work, I didn't think it was going to last nine months, I thought it was going to be a one and done," Finn Balor said. It will be interesting to see when Adam Copeland will recover completely and return to the ring.
