A former WWE star made her storyline debut at AEW Worlds End 2024 this past weekend. Meanwhile, veteran wrestler Dustin Rhodes offered his appreciation for her. The star competed in her 'first' pay-per-view match since returning to weekly programming in the Jacksonville-based promotion a few weeks ago.
Former WWE NXT UK Women's Champion Toni Storm made her return to AEW TV a few weeks ago, dropping her "timeless" gimmick and behaving like she doesn't remember anything. She subsequently made her storyline in-ring debut for Rampage, Collision, Dynamite, and ROH.
At AEW Worlds End 2024 Zero Hour, Storm made her pay-per-view 'debut' as part of her new amnesia gimmick. The Auckland-born star defeated Leila Grey in the pre-show. Later, All Elite Wrestling veteran Dustin Rhodes also reacted to Storm's match and played along with her amnesia gimmick.
Dustin took to his X (FKA Twitter) account to appreciate Toni after her match at Worlds End Zero Hour. Rhodes referred to Storm as a "rookie," stating that the former AEW Women's World Champion has a bright future ahead of her:
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
"I love this rookie, #ToniStorm!! She has a bright future ahead of her," Dustin wrote.
