AEW fans are rallying around a veteran wrestler and manager today after concerning health issues. Following successful surgery, the fan-favorite star was set to move forward with the recovery, but unfortunately, there have been additional post-surgery issues.
Maria Kanellis has dealt with health issues as of late. The 2009 WWE Diva of the Year underwent successful surgery on Friday to remove a rare mass on her adrenal gland, which was discovered months ago. She had to stay overnight in the hospital due to a few symptoms but then revealed in a Sunday evening update that she was headed back to the hospital due to increased pain in her neck, spine, and head.
The First Lady of Professional Wrestling was forced to spend Sunday night in the Emergency Room. Kanellis shared another update for her concerned fans on X/Twitter, revealing how it was an ordeal to get comfortable. Then, she was re-admitted this morning due to pain. She reiterated issues with walking and standing and expressed frustration over being away from home. The 42-year-old mother-of-two included a photo from her hospital bed.
"Spent the night in the emergency room receiving different cocktails of drugs including anti-nausea, morphine, caffeine/ibuprofen, magnesium, etc trying to make me comfortable. Then, they re-admitted me this morning because they could not control the pain, at 4:00am. I’m having trouble walking and standing because of the pain. I miss my kids and I am ready to be home but here I am," Maria Kanellis wrote with the photo below.

This led to Maria's second Ring of Honor return after leaving The Kingdom and managing names like Griff Garrison and Cole Karter in ROH.
