A former WWE champion is soon going to turn against Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan, and quit the Blackpool Combat Club, according to fans. If this happens, then it will be the swerve of the year.

The star in question is none other than Claudio Castagnoli. The Swiss Superman has been acting weirdly since the last few weeks and there seems to be some sort of disagreement between him and Bryan Danielson.

It was evident a few weeks back when he walked away as Danielson was still addressing fans. He also gave his reasons as to why he did that because he did not want Danielson to get hurt in the Anarchy in the Arena at the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View.

Fans have now taken that into context to predict that the former WWE Superstar will turn against Danielson and join The Elite. In case that happens, it should not come as a surprise as The Elite has been pulling off some power moves ever since taking over from Tony Khan since his injury.

What the future has in store for the Blackpool Combat Club remains to be seen.

Former WWE Superstar Claudio Castagnoli was not happy with Bryan Danielson

Former WWE Superstar Claudio Castagnoli is not a happy man and that is because of Bryan Danielson and his decision to fight in the Anarchy in the Arena match at the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View. There has been some visible tension in the Blackpool Combat Club recently.

Castagnoli spoke about it on AEW Rampage and said that the reason why he was angry was because of Eddie Kingston and because he could not be trusted.

"Eddie can go back to his old self in a second. I know him better than anybody else. And I know this [is] Bryan's last year, and he's calling the shots, he is doing all the matches he wants to, and that's important every single match. I go [to] Mexico with him, I go [to] Japan, wherever he needs me. But that one, I want my friend to retire healthy. And I don't have anything to do with Anarchy in the Arena, Bryan, and Mox [Jon Moxley] because I won't be able to be there for them," Claudio Castagnoli said. [0:30 - 1:31]

Things have changed, however, with Eddie Kingston being replaced by Darby Allin after the former suffered a knee injury. It will be interesting to see if the former WWE Superstar still has disagreements about Bryan fighting in the match.
