A WWE Hall of Famer expressed his frustration over Tony Khan's booking in AEW. The veteran admitted that the booking is not logical and it's hard to understand for him.
The WWE legend in question is Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley). He is known for his time in the Stamford-based promotion as part of The Dudley Boyz tag team. Bully has been fairly critical of the way Tony Khan has been booking the AEW shows for the past few years. Khan's booking decisions have been criticized a lot by veterans in 2024.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio recently, Bully Ray admitted his frustrations regarding the logic behind Tony Khan's booking of AEW:
"I get so many tweets asking me, 'Bubba, why are they doing this?' I don't know. I don't have the answers to these questions because I don't understand — I don't get the mentality. We will never understand the way Tony goes about things because of the way we were brought up in the wrestling business."

Bully Ray further admitted that Khan's booking doesn't make sense to him:
"It doesn't make sense to us; it's not logical. But, in order to under Tony, you have to think illogically," said the WWE legend. "Illogically to us because when he does, makes logical sense to him and the way his brain works. It doesn't make sense to us." [H/T: WrestlingINC]
Veteran says WWE legend should replace Tony Khan in AEW
Wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff was recently asked who he would replace Tony Khan with as the head booker of AEW. Within a second, Bischoff named the WWE legend, Bully Ray. Eric also explained why Bully would be the right choice while speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast:
"He sees the big picture, he understands story structure. When you listen to him talk about laying out a long-term story and the way to do it, you begin to hear it... He understands the wrestling audience... Bully understands the audience he's trying to entertain. Tony [Khan] doesn't understand the general audience, Tony understands very well one aspect of it."
Moreover, only time will tell if Khan would ever consider giving up his position for someone like Bully Ray.
