Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) is one of the AEW's most-priced assets. She is the reigning AEW TBS Champion as well as the NJPW Strong Women's Champion. Furthermore, her ally is one-time NWA World Women's Champion Kamille.
Mercedes Mone regularly expresses her thoughts and ideas in her Weekly Newsletter, Moné Mag Volume 2. In its latest issue, she spoke about her top five fantasy matches, which involved her and other legendary female wrestlers. Interestingly, one of the names she mentioned was the current ROH Women's World Champion, Athena. The 32-year-old called the former NXT Women's Champion "incredible talent." Additionally, she believes that if they both are allowed to lock horns, they could create magic.

"They say fantasies can't come true; only dreams can. On that note, a dream match would be against Athena, the Ring of Honor women’s champion. I’ve only had two matches with her, but they have been multi-women matches. I think she’s an incredible talent. Like the others, I’ve never seen women do things that she’s done before. She also seems to love it just as much as I do. I think if I’m given the chance and opportunity, we would have one of the greatest matches ever," wrote Mone.
As a teenager, Mercedes Mone adored Trish Stratus and Mickie James's rivalry
In the aforementioned newsletter, Mone revealed that Trish Stratus and Mickie James are both her fantasy opponents. Furthermore, she was immensely inspired by the rivalry of the two women.
"I was so inspired by it. I never saw a woman’s storyline like that. What made it even more incredible was that it lasted for an entire year, which seemed unheard of for women. They even had an amazing WrestleMania match. I was only a teenager then, but they just truly inspired me, so Mickie makes the last for sure," wrote Mone.
Mercedes Mone won the TBS Championship at the Double or Nothing Pay-Per-View, earlier this year. She has now held the title for more than 150 days.
