Britt Baker reveals she suffered a mini-stroke on AEW Dynamite
As mentioned earlier, Britt Baker returned to Dynamite this week. She had an emotional segment on the show before Mercedes Mone interrupted her. The former AEW Women's World Champion opened up about her hiatus and disclosed the reason for her extended absence from TV.
Baker revealed she was out of action due to two herniated disks and a torn hip labrum. The 33-year-old also informed fans that she suffered a transient ischemic attack in November 2023, which forced her to stay at home for a longer period of time. Later, PWInsider confirmed that DMD's story about suffering a mini-stroke was legitimate and not a made-up angle for a storyline.
Baker interrupted Mercedes Mone's victory celebration after the latter's victory over Stephanie Vaquer in a Winner Takes All Match at Forbidden Door 2024. This week on Dynamite, she addressed the reigning TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion, Mercedes Mone, who made her appearance a few seconds later.
The two exchanged verbal blows before Baker challenged the former Sasha Banks for a singles match at All In 2024, which will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on August 25.
