AEW star Jeff Jarrett recently reacted to Jinder Mahal's debut at a major promotion. Mahal was recently released by the WWE.
The Modern Day Maharaja's 90-day no-compete clause expired recently and he wasted no time in making a huge impact. Jinder Mahal made his shocking debut at GCW's So High event on July 19, targeting former Tag Champ Effy.
Speaking on his My World Podcast, Jeff Jarrett praised Jinder Mahal and explained how The Maharaja has untapped potential. He further spoke about the unpredictability of his GCW debut.
"It put a smile on my face. I think he has untapped talent that he is about to show the world. He's not afraid to roll up his sleeves. You can just look at his physical body and tell that he's not afraid of work. So I think he's on his way. It created the right buzz. I saw clips of it all over the place. It put a smile on my face ... Although people knew Jinder's 90-day [non-compete clause] was getting close to being up, I just don't think they called it, and that's a good thing. So I thought it was cool to see him appear." [H/T: WrestlingInc]

Jinder Mahal is not a fan of WWE's Punjabi Prison match
The Modern Day Maharaja surprisingly won the WWE Championship in 2017 and had matches against top stars. Jinder Mahal also defended his WWE Title against Randy Orton inside the Punjabi Prison. However, he has an interesting take on the match.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet of Insight, Jinder Mahal called the match terrible and spoke about how the crowd can't see the action inside the cage.
"The Punjabi Prison match s*cks. It's terrible. It's so hard. The inside cage is the blue old-school cage. You can hit it as hard as possible, and it won't even make a noise. It's terrible. And then just the crowd reaction. They couldn't really see, the people in the arena. There's two cages when we're on the inside, there's two cages, they really couldn't see. It was just painful. Kendo sticks. Chairshots. Everything," he said.
The Maharaja has been getting booked on the Independent scene ever since completing his 90-day no-compete clause. It will be interesting to see if he debuts in major companies like AEW and TNA in the near future.
