Fans have majorly criticized AEW and Jack Perry for an embarrassing botch at the All Out 2024 Pay-Per-View. The 27-year-old star competed against Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan, for the AEW World Championship at the event.

Referees are a very essential part of pro wrestling. Not only do they keep the competitors in line, but they also keep an eye on any injuries that might happen. Nevertheless, they can make certain mistakes too as they have to think on their feet. One such mistake happened during the AEW World Championship contest at All Out 2024.

The American Dragon battled the reigning TNT Champion at the recently concluded pay-per-view. Many fans doubted the booking decision of Jack Perry being the opponent in Bryan's first title defense. However, the Scapegoat delivered a top-notch and memorable performance. Despite the match being a classic, it might be remembered for one other thing.

During the match, Bryan Danielson rolled up Perry in an attempt for a quick pinfall. However, after counting to two, the referee tried to break the pin, thinking the TNT Champion could not kick out.

Jim Ross praises AEW star Jack Perry's character work

After getting suspended from AEW at the All In 2023 Pay-Per-View, Jack Perry wrestled in Japan for a couple of months. He then returned to the Jacksonville-based promotion with a completely new character and joined The Elite.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, AEW personality Jim Ross heaped praise on the Scapegoat for his recent character change.

"I like him (Jack Perry) a lot, and he's working hard on his body. He's adding a little size; he's very athletic; he's a student of the game; his greatest days are ahead of him. I'm anxious to see how far he's allowed to take this gimmick, and how far he's going to be able to evolve in it, because I think he's a future big star," Jim Ross said.
