Jake Roberts had a real-life feud with former WWE Champion The Ultimate Warrior. However, the former has shared that the beef settled down after the latter asked for his forgiveness.
In 1991, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the former WWF Champion had a storyline rivalry that saw the former turn into a heel. The beef had the potential to become one of the greatest rivalries in the history of pro wrestling but was abruptly put to a halt in 1992 due to the latter getting released from WWF following allegations of steroid use. The Texas native has often expressed his resentment toward Warrior for costing him a lot of money because of this.
Jake Roberts was one of the WWE Hall of Fame inductees in 2014 alongside The Ultimate Warrior. Therefore, the two legends met at the ceremony. Speaking with Jonah of Rewind Recap Relive, he disclosed that he went to the event thinking that he would have a fight with the late star but was shocked when the latter apologized for his mistakes.
"Felt really good, man (to bury hatchet with Ultimate Warrior at 2014 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony). Felt really good. I didn’t see that coming. I went there with all intentions of having a fight, and I was looking for him at the time. Then he tapped me on my back, I turned around, he started apologizing, and he’s saying how bad he felt about what he’d done and knew that it cost me millions. Cost me a lot of money, man...It was just so sad, you know, what happened the next day. Yeah, it was really sad. For his children to be there seeing that, just horrifying… It was bad."
