AEW commentator Jim Ross recently made an interesting comparison between a former WWE Universal Champion and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The name in question is none other than Kevin Owens.
The Prizefighter is one of the top stars in the Stamford-based promotion and is no stranger to The Texas Rattlesnake. Kevin Owens locked horns with Stone Cold in a No Holds Barred Match in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 38. The showdown marked the Hall of Famer's first match in almost two decades.
On the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross recently claimed that Kevin Owens possessed some of the same qualities as Stone Cold Steve Austin.
“I think Kevin Owens is very underrated. He's got some Stone Cold [Steve Austin] qualities I think are important. Tough kid. Good dude. He's not overwhelmed with chrome. He's a smart guy. And I like Kevin Owens a lot.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

Kevin Owens recalled being tensed about his WrestleMania match against Stone Cold Steve Austin
WrestleMania 38 saw one of the most surprising main events on Night One, as Stone Cold Steve Austin accepted Kevin Owens' challenge after weeks of insults.
The Texas Rattlesnake ultimately defeated Owens and received widespread praise for his performance. However, before the bout actually went down, it was unclear what the Hall of Famer would do at The Show of Shows.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on TNT Sports, Kevin Owens revealed that he wasn't sure whether he was facing Stone Cold in a proper match until the day of WrestleMania.
"Until that night or that day, I wasn't sure we were even going to have a match," Owens said. "It's weird because I'd spoken with Vince McMahon about it. I'd spoken with Steve about it. It was always this weird, 'You and Stone Cold are gonna do something at WrestleMania.' Called him, he's super into it, he's really excited, but Vince is like, 'Whatever it is, like a fight or a match or whatever, we'll figure all that out.' I'm like, 'Alright.'" [From 15:30 to 16:05]
Kevin Owens is set to team up with Randy Orton and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to take on The Bloodline in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank 2024. Meanwhile, the Attitude Era legend has seemingly hung up his wrestling boots again.
