Toni Storm is one of the most famous professional wrestlers on the AEW roster. Fans commend her journey from NXT to becoming the AEW Women's Champion. Some even compare her to Torrie Wilson, the WWE icon who was part of the Attitude Era from the early 2000s until 2009 when she was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Jim Ross, the legendary wrestling commentator has spoken out about his thoughts on "Timeless" Toni Storm. He did so on the podcast Grilling JR with Jim Ross.
"She has been terrific. I can't think of anybody, on anyone's roster that has developed their TV persona any more thoroughly than Toni Storm. She's a veteran, she knows the ways of the wrestling world. She's a h*ll of a nice lady."
He continued talking about Storm, who debuted in AEW in 2022.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
"I just enjoy the h**l out of talking to her and...being around her. She's just a bright light in that respect. Very talented. Does she look like Torrie Wilson? No, but nobody else does either. I say that with all kindness. Toni Storm is a h**l of a hand," he said. [24:43 - 25:32]
Though the former Outcasts member and Torrie are not related, fans think the current AEW World Champion has a striking resemblance to Wilson. The Hall of Famer was popular for her looks and had a distinct charisma in the ring. She had feuds with Sable and is one of the few female wrestlers to have posed for the magazine Playboy.

Torrie Wilson has been away from active wrestling since 2008 but does make sporadic appearances on WWE programming. She has appearances in 2019, 2021 and 2023. In 2023, she inducted her in-feud friend and later rival Stacey Kiebler to the Hall of Fame. She also made a surprise appearance during the 2024 WWE Draft. Recently, Wilson was pictured with Ric Flair, and the photo quickly went viral.
"Never laughed so hard for an entire flight. Thanks for the lift @ricflairnatureboy love you!" Wilson wrote.
It's always a joy to see wrestling icons together, and it makes fans want to see them in WWE one more time.
