Former WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal, also known as Raj Dhesi, won a major championship alongside an AEW star a few months after he departed from the Stamford-based promotion. The Modern Day Maharaja won the title in a promotion outside the United States of America.
The AEW star in question is Satnam Singh. The 28-year-old star has not been featured on TV for the past two months. Amid his time outside Tony Khan's promotion, Satnam teamed up with Jinder Mahal and both were accompanied by the WWE Hall of Famer, Jeff Jarrett.
Satnam and Jinder recently competed for the AAA World Tag Team Championship at the Triplemania XXXII event while taking on the team of Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno del Mal as well as the team of Psycho Clown & Negro Casas in a Three-way tag team match.
With a little help from Jeff Jarrett, Jinder and Satnam Singh managed to capture the AAA World Tag Team Championship. The two wrestlers of Indian descent thoroughly celebrated their title win in Mexico City as well.

Jinder Mahal on whether WWE dropped the ball on him
Jinder Mahal, also known as Raj Dhesi, was released by WWE in April 2024. Many people also believed that the Stamford-based promotion dropped the ball on him. The 38-year-old shared a video on his TikTok handle addressing the aforementioned statement stating the following:
"So, I see this comment a lot, and I wanna kinda share my opinion on it. ‘WWE dropped the ball on me’ – I would say that’s not true. Had a very long career, 12 years in WWE. WWE Champion, won the United States Championship at WrestleMania, made a great living, really set myself up for the future, for the rest of my life."
Mahal continues to perform on the independent scene and only time will tell what the future has in store for The Modern Day Maharaja.
