Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal (aka Raj Dhesi) posed with a current AEW giant a few months after his release from the Stamford-based promotion. The two fellow wrestlers were spotted together ahead of their trios match. The All Elite star in question is the 7 ft 4 in giant Satnam Singh.
Jinder Mahal was released from WWE on April 19. Since then, he has been honing his craft on the independent wrestling scene. Meanwhile, Jinder is slated to make his debut on a major promotion outside the US.
It was recently announced that the former WWE star will team up with AEW star Satnam Singh to challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Championship at Triplemania XXXII. They will be managed by Jeff Jarrett. Ahead of their big match, Jinder got clicked with his fellow Indian-descent wrestler Satnam Singh in Mexico City.
The Modern Day Maharaja took to his Instagram handle to share a picture with Satnam Singh. He also wrote the following in the caption of his post:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"Triplemania Ready. Mexico City @luchalibreaaa."
Jinder Mahal on how his WWE career set him for life
As mentioned earlier, Jinder Mahal was released from WWE earlier this year after over a decade in the promotion.
The former world champion addressed the question about the Stamford-based promotion dropping the ball on him, stating the following in one of his videos:
"So I see this comment a lot, and I wanna kinda share my opinion on it. ‘WWE dropped the ball on me’ – I would say that’s not true. Had a very long career, 12 years in WWE. WWE Champion, won the United States Championship at WrestleMania, made a great living, really set myself up for the future, for the rest of my life."
The 38-year-old has already begun his new journey, and only time will tell what the future has in store for The Modern Day Maharaja.
