Jon Moxley broke character in a rare appearance outside AEW. He also praised four-time WWE Champion Bryan Danielson.
Mox and Danielson were teammates for one and a half years in the Blackpool Combat Club and then fans saw the former betray and attack the latter (with the help of Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir) at All Out 2024.
The two former Blackpool Combat Club teammates took on each other at WrestleDream this year, where The Purveyor of Violence defeated The American Dragon to win the AEW World Championship, subsequently leading to the former WWE Champion's retirement.
The leader of BCC recently had a virtual interview with Youngstown Studio, where he broke character and heavily praised Bryan Danielson.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
"I mean I could sit here and I could wax about the beauty of what Bryan Danielson creates in the ring and about probably the greatest pure wrestler in the ring that has ever walked the face of the Earth, you know."
Mox added he felt lucky to get the opportunity to work alongside one of the best wrestlers of all time in the pro wrestling business.
"I could sit here and talk about that all day if that's what we were doing, and I was lucky enough to have been his opponent many times but I was one of the even fewer people that were lucky enough to be his teammate and partner for you know a few years there and to be on that side of it is an even bigger blessing and an even more special thing to be able to work alongside him and to learn everything that I could learn." Jon Moxley on ending Bryan Danielson's full-time career
During the same interview with Youngstown Studio, Jon Moxley also commented on ending Bryan Danielson's full-time wrestling career. He said that he knows people hate him for what he did but believes it had to be done.
"Some people might not be happy about that and they might voice their displeasure about that and they might shower me with vitriol about that. But I can handle that because there are some things that just have to be done and somebody has got to do them," he stated.
Jon Moxley not only ended Danielson's career but even got Wheeler Yuta to turn on the former champ and choke him out with a plastic bag.
