AEW Dynamite's recent ratings failed to show a massive increase due to Jon Moxley's lackluster championship reign. The latest episode was studded with stars and storylines.
The Continental Classic was one of the company's main attractions as we entered the tournament's second week. This week, Kyle Fletcher and Claudio Castagnoli won their matches against Shelton Benjamin and Brody King. The duo is currently sitting at the top of their leagues, having garnered six points.
Meanwhile, Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly stood last in the ring after surviving 10 other men. Also, Orange Cassidy, Jay White, and Hangman Page seemingly worked together against The Death Riders. The trio successfully beat down the One True King, Jon Moxley, while outsmarting his crew. Nevertheless, fans may seem not invested in Moxley's takeover storyline.
The average audience was low at the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite. However, despite the promotion returning to its normal timeslot, the viewership failed to surpass 600,000. This could be harsh evidence of the declining interest in AEW's world title picture.
As per Wrestlenomics, AEW Dynamite drew a total viewers of 586,000 and was rated 0.17 amongst the 18-49 demographics. This number is slightly higher in comparison with last week as the previous Dynamite had an average audience of 536,000 viewers and was rated 0.15.
AEW could draw more eyes next Wednesday as the company presents a special edition, Winter Is Coming. Huge matchups have already been announced for the show. It will be interesting to see if a slight surge in ratings is seen next week.
