Jon Moxley retained his AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy, Jay White, and ''Hangman'' Adam Page in a Four-way Match at AEW Worlds End 2024 this past Saturday. But he suffered a setback following his victory.
The Purveyor of Violence was confronted by Cope (FKA Adam Copeland), who returned to action after a seven-month hiatus. He was joined by FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, who took down The Death Riders.
Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli had a Trios match against Rated FTR on last night's AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen. Before the Wednesday Night Show even began, Moxley sent a threatening message to his rivals. However, the segment seemingly made him look desperate and a maniac.
"They all talk and talk and talk a lot, but who they are, what they’re gonna do, and when bullets start flying; when things get real, that’s not who they are at all. Who they are? When you put your feet to the fire, is often very very different. This woman took a bullet tonight because she’s a woman of integrity, of iron will, of impeachable character. Because she is somebody who stands with me, and I accept nothing less," Jon Moxley said.

The Death Riders leader reminded fans how he ''dragged'' the company to safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also threatened to destroy the AEW World Title. He added:
"I grabbed this company, this entire organization by the strap, and I dragged it to safety through a pandemic. I've taken bullet after bullet after bullet for this company. I will set the suitcase on fire; I'll melt it down; I'll sink it to the bottom of the ocean. I will destroy the AEW World Championship. I won't let anybody else get their greedy, lying, soulless, criminal fingers on it ever again. Adam Copeland, I know exactly what it's about. We are not rebels. Rebels rebel against authority and nobody has authority over us. I'm the King. Tonight, Adam Copeland, you're just the loudest guy in the room."
Jon Moxley suffered another setback on Dynamite
The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) locked horns with Rated FTR (Cope, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler) in a Trios match in the main event of Dynamite: Fight of the Fallen last night.
The climax saw FTR hit Wheeler Yuta with a Shatter Machine, which was followed by a Spear from The Rated R Superstar for the win.
It will be interesting to see how the rivalry between The Death Riders and Rated FTR evolves in the coming weeks.
