Bully Ray has stated that Jon Moxley could have subtly teased a WWE veteran’s arrival in AEW. Moxley returned to AEW this week and has teased the formation of a new faction.
The star in question is none other than Shane McMahon. It has been a few weeks since McMahon was spotted with Tony Khan. It was not clear at the time whether Shane McMahon had signed a deal with AEW but as weeks passed fans realised that nothing had seemingly come of it.
Jon Moxley shocked the entire AEW fanbase when he sort of turned heel on Dynamite and also had a verbal altercation with Tony Schiavone. Bully Ray has now stated that it was done to possibly tease McMahon’s arrival.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer said:
Top WWE star blasted, compared to Winnie the Pooh RIGHT HERE
"Moxley comes out and says [to Tony Schiavone], 'This is not your company anymore.' What is he talking about? I'll let you know what I think, 'cause I'm sure as hell not sure...I think Schiavone was the conduit to Tony Khan...Is Moxley talking about Shane [McMahon]?"
Tommy Dreamer also thinks Jon Moxley teased Shane McMahon’s arrival
In the same episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, another WWE veteran Tommy Dreamer also concurred with Bully Ray and said that Moxley might have teased the arrival of Shane McMahon.
He said that something was brewing with the former WWE Champion and that the internet would explode if Shane made his way to AEW.
"There's something brewing with this guy, and in pro wrestling, when we say it's a tease, or something changes, right away, the internet explodes with Shane McMahon."
It will be interesting to see whether Shane McMahon will make his way to AEW and what his role will be in the company alongside Jon Moxley.
