AEW star Kenny Omega returned on the latest episode of Dynamite for the first time in over eight months. He had been on a year-long hiatus after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. However, the star appeared at NJPW and started a feud with Gabe Kidd. The duo clashed at Wrestle Dynasty last week in a highly acclaimed match.

The Best Bout Machine wrestled a great return match and proved why he is called the best during the post-match comments. After emerging victorious in the much-anticipated bout, AEW announced his return for this week's Dynamite. He returned to the company after being fully cleared for the first time in over a year. The Cleaner also made an appearance at Worlds End in December 2024.

Kenny Omega returned with a new presentation and theme on tonight's Dynamite. He talked about how he conquered diverticulitis and returned to pro wrestling. Moments later, Don Callis set a trap to attack Omega, and then Brian Cage, Kyle Fletcher, and Lance Archer attacked The Cleaner. Surprisingly, his former rival, Will Ospreay, made the save for Kenny Omega to end the show.

Moments later, Tony Khan announced that Brian Cage would face Kenny on the next Maximum Carnage Dynamite. The last time the former AEW World Champion wrestled on Dynamite was November 2023.

It will be interesting to see if The Don Callis Family interferes next week on Dynamite.
