Kenny Omega’s triumphant AEW return sparked a positive reaction from a WWE veteran. Omega will no doubt be pleased to hear this.
The former AEW World Champion made his return to the ring at Wrestle Dynasty after being out of action for more than a year. He took on Gabe Kidd in a hard-hitting match that went on for more than 30 minutes. Wrestling veteran and commentator for the Jacksonville-based promotion Jim Ross also had his say in the matter.
The WWE Hall of Famer was impressed with what he saw and said that The Best Bout Machine was going to be at the epicenter of AEW programming. Speaking on the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, he said:
“I wouldn't doubt it and I don't know why not. He's the best in-ring talent now that [Bryan Danielson] is on the sideline, taking a sabbatical, and maybe a long-term sabbatical, hell, I don't know. I think he's the next in line, I would think, and getting a healthy Kenny Omega back on your roster and back on your television show is a good thing. I think he elevates everybody else's work, because nobody wants to get in the ring with Kenny and look bad, and he's going to have a good match no matter what.” [H/T Fightful]

Jim Ross is glad that Kenny Omega is back
In the same episode of his Grilling JR podcast, the AEW commentator revealed his joy at the return of Kenny Omega.
The veteran commentator also spoke about the kind gesture the former AEW World Champion had made to him on his birthday.
“So, I'm glad he's back. I like Kenny. He sent me a nice text on my birthday, and he's just a good human being in my estimation. So him coming back is good timing for Tony Khan,” JR said.
It is indeed great to see Omega finally make his long-awaited return. It is also heartwarming to see people like Jim Ross be visibly happy at the veteran's return. It will be interesting to see the kind of plans Tony Khan has for his premier athlete.
